1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating a ReadRipple account, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Service Description
ReadRipple connects authors with real readers who choose books by interest. Readers post honest reviews on Amazon, which we verify before any payment is released; no rating is promised or required. Authors prepay for reader engagement; readers are compensated for their time.
3. Author Responsibilities
Authors must own the rights to books they upload. Books must be live on Amazon with a valid ASIN. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of book metadata (title, description, cover). Uploaded PDFs should be ARCs or samples intended for reader distribution.
4. Payments & Wallet
Authors fund their wallet by card or bank account; payments are processed by Stripe and we never see card numbers. Funds are held as prepaid credit per campaign. Readers are paid from this credit only when their review has been verified on Amazon. Reviews not verified within 3 days, and campaigns that are rejected or paused, return the unused credit to the wallet. Wallet balances have no cash value until withdrawn.
5. Review Policy
Readers post honest reviews on Amazon in their own words and may give any star rating. ReadRipple never asks for, pays for or guarantees a positive rating, and authors may not contact readers to request one. Attempting to manipulate reviews (creating fake accounts, using bots, offering readers extra payment) will result in account suspension and forfeiture of wallet balance.
6. Amazon Compliance
ReadRipple operates as an ARC distribution service: readers receive a free advance copy and are compensated for their reading time, not for the content of a review. Each submitted review is verified on the book's Amazon page before any payment is released. Authors are responsible for understanding and following Amazon's Community Guidelines.
7. Account Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or abuse the platform. Suspended accounts cannot log in or access the dashboard.
8. Limitation of Liability
ReadRipple is provided "as is." We are not liable for lost revenue, review removals by Amazon, or service interruptions. Our liability is limited to the prepaid wallet balance held on the platform.
