1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, and book details (ASIN, title, description, PDF). We also collect transaction data related to wallet funding (crypto payments via NOWPayments) and review payouts.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to: create and manage your account, process wallet deposits and reader payouts, display your books to readers on BookPayouts.com, send you transactional emails (welcome, approval, review notifications), and provide admin support. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Data Storage
Account data is stored in a secure database (Upstash Redis). PDF files are stored on Vercel Blob. Payment data is processed by NOWPayments — we do not store your crypto wallet keys or credit card information.
4. Cookies & Authentication
We use essential cookies for authentication (login sessions). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Google OAuth is used for sign-in; Google shares your name and email with us upon consent.
5. Email Communications
We send transactional emails (account verification, book approvals, review notifications, deposit receipts) via Resend from notify@read-ripple.com. You receive these as part of using the service.
6. Amazon Data
Book metadata (title, description, cover image) is fetched from Amazon via the ScrapeOps API for display purposes. We do not scrape or store Amazon customer data beyond the review links you submit.
7. Data Retention
Your account data is retained while your account is active. Books, reviews, and transaction history are retained for record-keeping even if your account is deleted. You may request data deletion by contacting support@read-ripple.com.
8. Your Rights
You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting support@read-ripple.com. You may also close your account from your dashboard settings.
9. Security
We use HTTPS encryption, secure authentication (Auth.js), and HMAC-verified payment webhooks. However, no system is 100% secure. We recommend using a strong, unique password.
